It has been the usual busy start to the day. The alarm starts to go off just after 6am, and eventually I will get up, to find a gang of 5 eager siamese waiting outside my door. As I did not go to bed until midnight, it seem ok to leave them sleeping on the landing, by the radiator. I have to get some sleep!
Upon going downstairs, life becomes a mad rush, why? because everyone want to be seen to IMMEDIATELY! And as they all have their own selected food choices, then I have to feed them on a eagerness basis, i.e. the keener they are, the quicker I see to them. That is not always easy, as they all launch themselves onto the kitchen surfaces in their eagerness, leaving me no room to work. No sooner to I put them off, then they jump up again. During this process I am trying to make myself a cup of tea, and telling my 13 yeard old son, to stop slouching into his cereal bowl and close his mouth while eating!
Percy needs feeding in the lounge also, he chooses to live separately from the Siamese, which is probably a good thing, as he has the appetite of a horse and they would have no food left to eat.
Lily, who is pregnant, wolfs down her tuna feed, ( I feed her on the surfaces while she if pregnant, to make sure she gets all the food), she eats it so fast, that she then promptly vomits it all back up again, into the bowl..........and shakes her head, spraying it everywhere, no not the nicest of ways to greet 7.15am. But she is pregnant, so I forgive her.
Then the lunches have to be made for the kids, breakfast in bed for Tim, as he is not very good at stirring in the morning, followed by going round all 5 litter trays.
All is eventually done, without any more mishaps, and it is into the car for the hour round trip to take the kids to school. The cats know this is their cue to go back to sleep, where they are currently now. They are all asleep on the landing, on their large bed, and Percy is outside. The siamese do not go outside, as it is not safe for them. But they have an assortment of scratching posts and other things to keep them busy when they are awake.
This is MY time of peace now!!!!
